Burnside & Hooker is Chicago Americana with a dose of retro sass, gritty blues, deep red lipstick, cigarettes, and high heels. Releases so far include albums Rail Yard Hymns (2013) and All The Way To The Devil (2015), as well as single "Holy Roller" (2017).

Critics have described Burnside & Hooker’s music as “the crunchy, seedy, violent music that would be playing in Wild West saloons“ (Independent Clauses), an “intoxicating mix of folk, soul and indie pop/rock” (The Total Scene)“. Lead singer Rachel Bonacquisti has also been hailed as an explosive and commanding vocalist, described by critics as a frontwoman who “crackles with speakeasy sass” (Illinois Entertainer) and who can “stop the earth grinding on its axis” (Newcity).

Burnside & Hooker has previously been featured on WGN Midday News, WGN Radio and Vocalo Radio. In addition to opening for such high-profile acts as The Smoking Popes and Doyle Bramhall II, Burnside & Hooker has performed at many major Chicago venues, including the Metro, the House of Blues, Schuba’s, and Lincoln Hall.
